Job Brief:We are seeking a highly competent and experienced
Senior Electrical Site Engineer to lead the electrical scope of water treatment projects. The ideal candidate will oversee all site-based electrical activities from design coordination to installation, testing, and commissioning. This role requires a strong command of technical documentation, supplier coordination, and on-site leadership to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant project execution.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead the design, review, and approval process of Electrical Technical Submittals, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, BOQs, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, and Power & Lighting Layouts, ensuring full coordination with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams.
- Supervise all electrical site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve FAT, SAT, Megger, Continuity, and Loop Test documentation, ensuring quality assurance across all testing and commissioning stages.
- Provide technical direction to site engineers, subcontractors, and technicians, ensuring effective work allocation and timely progress of electrical works.
- Conduct design verification and resolve on-site technical issues to maintain compliance with project drawings and standards.
- Oversee supplier evaluation, RFQ issuance, and technical comparison for electrical components, ensuring alignment with project and budgetary requirements.
- Review and validate PLC, SCADA, and control panel integration with relevant engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and internal departments to achieve seamless electrical integration across project phases.
- Prepare and review Operation & Maintenance documentation for handover (excluding routine maintenance execution).
- Ensure the implementation of HSE standards and site safety procedures related to electrical activities.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and draftsmen in design and site execution tasks.
