Job Brief:The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing mechanical engineering activities related to water treatment projects, including STP and RO systems. The role involves reviewing engineering documents, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, overseeing fabrication and site execution, and supporting installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Job Responsibilities: - Review specifications, requirements, and drawings for issued tenders and RFQs received from the sales team.
- Review and check mechanical drawings for proposed STP, RO, and related water treatment systems.
- Review the Bill of Materials (BOM) and modify it as required.
- Review supplier quotations for mechanical equipment required for the system.
- Ensure consistency across project documents, including BOQs, drawings, and material data sheets.
- Review and coordinate with the Electrical and Instrumentation team for E&I submittals.
- Review client and consultant comments and submit responses by incorporating required revisions.
- Coordinate and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Prepare datasheets for material submittals.
- Ensure timely submission of all mechanical engineering documents as requested by the client.
- Handle design, installation, testing, and commissioning of STP and RO systems.
- Apply technical knowledge of MBR, MBBR, ASP, UF, RO membranes, pumps, blowers, and dosing systems.
- Perform piping engineering activities, including piping layout design, routing, pipe sizing, and material selection (CS, SS, UPVC, etc.).
- Oversee fabrication and site execution, including supervision of tanks, skids, piping spools, and supports.
- Coordinate with vendors and fabrication workshops.
- Conduct inspection and quality control activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Supervise site installation works and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Prepare and review mechanical designs and drawings.
- Coordinate with fabrication shops and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and timelines.
- Support commissioning and project handover activities.
- Assist in material take-offs and BOQ preparation.
