Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Project Leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of large-scale water treatment, desalination, and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and client requirements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project execution plans covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management.
  • Provide strategic direction to multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.

Resource Allocation and Management
  • Define project resource requirements, including manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and materials across multiple project phases.
  • Optimize the allocation of internal and external resources to ensure cost efficiency and timely project execution.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure the availability of skilled personnel and technical resources as per project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits as required to ensure the smooth flow of project operations and activities.

Risk Management
  • Lead proactive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish risk registers and ensure continuous monitoring of technical, commercial, and operational risks.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and compliance issues.

Timely Delivery and Budget Adherence
  • Develop detailed master schedules, milestones, and progress tracking systems to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Monitor project cost performance, control budgets, and implement corrective actions to avoid budget overruns.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, scope boundaries, and client-approved timelines.

Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as the primary interface for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings, ensuring transparent communication and alignment on project objectives.
  • Manage client expectations and resolve escalations effectively to maintain strong business relationships.

Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all project deliverables comply with company standards, client specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) systems across all project phases.
  • Lead site inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure defect-free project execution.

Vendor and Supplier Coordination
  • Oversee procurement coordination with supply chain teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Evaluate and manage the performance of vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Negotiate technical and commercial terms in coordination with procurement and contracts teams.

Change Management
  • Evaluate and manage variations in project scope, schedule, and cost through proper impact analysis.
  • Ensure all change requests are formally documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with governance processes.
  • Communicate project changes effectively to stakeholders and update project plans accordingly.

Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including execution plans, schedules, risk logs, reports, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and present periodic progress reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and clients.
  • Ensure proper project closure documentation, including as-built records, handover dossiers, and lessons learned documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience managing water treatment, desalination, infrastructure, EPC, industrial, or related engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project execution, project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, client relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Experience in resource planning, contractor management, and supplier coordination.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, project governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and project administration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within demanding schedules.
