Job Brief:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to drive business development and technical sales within the valves industry across key sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Petrochemical. The role requires strong technical knowledge combined with sales expertise to identify new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and deliver tailored valve solutions that meet industry standards and client specifications.

The Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and technical consultation to proposal preparation, negotiation, and successful project delivery. The position also involves providing technical support to clients, conducting site visits, and collaborating closely with internal engineering and workshop teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Petrochemical industries by generating leads, networking, and building strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Manage prequalification (PQ) processes and vendor registrations with clients and relevant organizations to expand the company’s approved vendor base.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking events to promote products and build market presence.
  • Provide technical consultation to clients and prepare proposals in coordination with internal engineering and technical teams.
  • Understand customer requirements and specifications in order to recommend appropriate valve solutions, including control valves, safety valves, and related equipment.
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, cost estimations, quotations, and bids, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements and industry standards such as ASME and API.
  • Maintain regular customer interaction and support, ensuring strong client engagement and long-term business relationships.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential and existing clients, explaining complex technical concepts in a clear and practical manner.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting issues related to installed equipment and coordinating with the workshop or engineering teams for resolution.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate installations, assess technical requirements, and provide on-site technical support when required.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and profitability objectives while contributing to the company’s overall revenue growth.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members and colleagues when required.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial inquiry and technical discussions to closing sales and coordinating delivery and service arrangements.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback, highlighting customer requirements, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management based on operational requirements.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or a related role within the valve industry, mechanical services, or industrial equipment sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial valves, pumps, pipes, fittings, and related equipment, along with familiarity with relevant industry standards.
  • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and manage client relationships within industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power, Water, or Petrochemical.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven professional with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications for sales tracking, reporting, and proposal preparation.
