Job Brief:The Service & Operations Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of various water and wastewater treatment systems. This role ensures consistent plant performance, delivers after-sales service, and supports clients with technical expertise across multiple treatment technologies.
Job Responsibilities:- Manage project and site operations for water treatment activities.
- Carry out all assigned water treatment jobs for customers.
- Liaise with sales teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Perform maintenance and commissioning of all water/wastewater treatment plants, including Clarifiers, Filtration, Softeners, UV systems, CU-AG Ionization, UF, EDI, RO, DM plants, Aeration, MBBR, and MBR.
- Troubleshoot plant issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate and manage activities on site, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.
- Engage with clients, understand priorities, and manage expectations effectively.
- Conduct operation & maintenance activities and water parameters analysis.
- Coordinate with clients regarding installation readiness.
- Optimize plant performance to meet design commitments.
- Diagnose process-related issues and provide technical recommendations.
- Prepare method statements, checklists, and risk assessments for installation and commissioning.
- Generate regular reports including O&M, AMC, production, chemical consumption, and water analysis.
- Conduct site surveys and submit as-built condition reports for sales support.
- Apply and close work permits in adherence to safety protocols.
- Support process engineering activities for daily operations and monitoring.
- Handle materials, BOQs, and installation coordination with engineering teams.
- Conduct operational troubleshooting across UF, RO, MBR, DAF, MMF, Softener, UV, CU-AG Ionization, De-Ionization, Dialysis, CSSD, Pumps, domestic/grey water, and TSE treatment systems.
- Provide technical inputs for operating procedures.
- Commission and troubleshoot water treatment controllers, dosing systems, pumps, and sensors.
- Program and interface controllers to BMS/SCADA and electrical panels.
- Perform calibration of sensors: pH, Conductivity, Turbidity, ORP, Flow meters, and other online measurement devices.
- Maintain schedules and administrative reporting per company standards.
- Provide after-sales service support to existing and new clients related to water treatment chemicals.
