Job Brief:
Our client, a leading organization in the industrial processing and flow technology sector, is seeking a Service Sales Engineer to support service sales activities within the Valves, Pumps, and Pure Flow Processing (PFP) division across the Middle East region.

The role will focus on driving service sales growth for flow components, including valves and pumps, while promoting modernization, digitalization, and sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with regional customers, internal teams, and international headquarters to support service offerings, spare parts sales, and maintenance solutions. The role requires a strong combination of technical understanding, customer engagement, service sales coordination, and order management.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of Service Sales Order Intake (OI) and sales budget responsibilities for flow components within the Valves and Pumps business unit under the Pure Flow Processing (PFP) Technologies division across the Middle East cluster.
  • Utilize technical knowledge related to the servicing and maintenance of valves and pumps to support customers and promote service-related offerings.
  • Promote service products, modernization initiatives, digitalization solutions, and sustainability goals within the PFP division to support long-term customer partnerships and operational improvements.
  • Maintain close coordination between customers in the Middle East region and headquarters in Germany, ensuring effective communication and support for service requirements.
  • Coordinate and support sales agents' activities across the region while ensuring the achievement of service sales targets.
  • Promote and develop channel partners for local stocking of flow components, improving spare parts availability and customer service response times.
  • Travel within the region and dedicate a minimum of 20% of working time to regular customer visits in order to develop business opportunities, understand customer needs, follow up on quotations, promote spare parts and service offerings, and collect customer feedback regarding service performance.
  • Contribute to improving the Net Promoter Score (NPS) by ensuring customer satisfaction and sharing feedback with the relevant teams responsible for new machine sales.
  • Conduct periodic service sales performance reviews with the reporting manager or Service Business Controller to assess results and develop strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Effectively communicate service-related issues reported by customers and work with the Head of Service Execution (Middle East) to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct market analysis activities, including historical segmentation reviews and installed base penetration analysis, and propose corrective actions when required.
  • Participate in regular internal coordination meetings (e.g., Microsoft Teams calls) with the PFP Service Sales team to review forecasts, action plans, backlog status, escalations, and overall performance.
  • Ensure continuous personal development (Individual Development Plan – IDP) by participating in internal training programs and staying updated on the latest service offerings, sales tools, and technologies.
  • Contribute to developing a teamwork-oriented culture by collaborating with internal teams and supporting colleagues with the tools and guidance required for effective performance.
  • Coordinate logistics arrangements for service orders, including repairs and spare parts related to flow components.
  • Manage coordination of repair and spare parts orders between customers and operational sites, ensuring smooth order processing.
  • Follow up with operational sites regarding delivery timelines and documentation requirements for service orders.
  • Provide monthly analysis on order backlog and estimated sales figures, supporting accurate sales reporting and forecasting.
  • Act as a backup resource for the team when required, including assisting with the preparation and processing of quotations or offers.
  • Manage the arrangement of invoices and ensure closure of orders within the system once transactions are completed.
  • Follow up on accounts receivable and outstanding payments, ensuring timely collections.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to support payment reconciliation and financial documentation.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience in service sales, order handling, or industrial equipment support will have an added advantage.
  • Basic technical understanding or strong interest in valves, pumps, and flow components used in industrial processing systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with customers, internal teams, and international stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail for order handling, reporting, and follow-up activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with ERP systems will be an advantage.
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow within service sales, order management, and customer support functions.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel within the Middle East region as required.
