Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Storekeeper to manage material receiving, inventory control, stock records, and material issuance for its interior fit-out and joinery operations in Dubai, UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, organising factory storage areas, issuing materials against approved requests, and monitoring stock availability to support production requirements.

The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of storekeeping experience, with mandatory experience in the interior fit-out industry, and practical knowledge of materials used in joinery, furniture manufacturing, and fabrication.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive materials, tools, and consumables from suppliers and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, incorrect specifications, quality issues, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Verify material codes, sizes, quantities, and specifications before accepting deliveries.
  • Coordinate with procurement and quality control teams regarding shortages, damaged materials, and incorrect deliveries.
  • Record all received materials accurately in the stock register or inventory management system.
  • Organise and store materials according to factory sections, item codes, and designated storage locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for material receipts, issues, returns, and stock adjustments.
  • Issue materials only against approved material requisitions, job orders, or authorised requests.
  • Monitor material consumption and report low stock levels to the relevant departments.
  • Conduct daily checks of critical stock items and regular physical inventory counts.
  • Prepare inventory reports covering minimum stock levels, reorder requirements, slow-moving items, and obsolete materials.
  • Conduct monthly stocktaking and reconcile physical stock quantities with inventory records.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Certificate or Diploma; additional training in storekeeping or inventory management will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of storekeeping experience.
  • Previous experience in the interior fit-out industry is mandatory.
  • Experience handling materials such as paint, joinery products, glass, metal, hardware, and general factory consumables.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, material coding, stocktaking, and warehouse organisation.
  • Ability to maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records.
  • Strong organisational and recordkeeping skills with attention to material specifications and quantities.
  • Good communication and coordination skills when working with procurement, production, and project teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple material requests and prioritise urgent production requirements.
  • Responsible and systematic approach to inventory control.
  • Ability to work in a factory environment and handle materials safely.
