Job Brief:The Tendering & Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing bid documents, including quotations, cost estimates, project schedules, and submission processes. This role reports directly to the Tendering & Proposals Manager and involves close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver competitive bids and secure projects.
Job Responsibilities:- Bid Formation: Develop comprehensive bid documents, ensuring all client requirements are met and submissions are completed within deadlines.
- Pricing Estimation: Accurately estimate project costs, including material, labour, equipment, and other associated costs; develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Technical Evaluation Support: Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and provide input on technical evaluations.
- Document Preparation: Compile and prepare all necessary documents for tender submission, ensuring compliance with client specifications and company standards.
- Coordination & Communication: Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance) to gather information for bid submissions; present and communicate bid concepts to internal stakeholders.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients during the tendering process to clarify requirements, address queries, and adjust bids as needed.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform pricing strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the success of bids and proposals, implementing lessons learned to improve future performance.
