Job Brief:
A well-established company in the steel manufacturing industry is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Treasury and Finance Officer to manage the organization’s financial resources and ensure optimal liquidity. The role involves overseeing treasury operations, maintaining strong banking relationships, managing cash flow, and supporting financial planning and reporting activities across multiple entities.

Job Responsibilities:
Treasury Functions:
  • Monitor daily cash positions and forecast short- and long-term cash requirements.
  • Manage relationships with banks and maintain accounts across multiple institutions.
  • Execute payments, manage fund transfers, and oversee cash disbursement processes.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts and variance analysis reports.
  • Ensure liquidity by coordinating credit lines and short-term financing arrangements.
  • Maintain records of loans, guarantees, and other treasury-related instruments.
Finance Functions:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data to support decision-making and financial strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and audit requirements.
  • Support financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
Risk Management & Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Monitor and report on treasury-related risks, including liquidity and interest rate exposures.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and reporting.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountancy (ICAI) certification is mandatory.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CTP are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury, finance, or accounting roles.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
